MealGod ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the MealGod mobile application.

  1. Information We CollectMealGod is designed to minimize data collection.

a. Recipes and User Content

Recipes saved from URLs, photos, or manual entry are stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your recipes, cocktails, and associated photos are also backed up to our secure cloud servers.

b. Account Information

If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password for authentication purposes. We do not access or store your password in plain text.

c. Camera Access

MealGod requests access to your device camera solely for scanning and importing handwritten or printed recipes. Images are processed only for recipe extraction.

d. Photos Access

If granted, photo library access is used only for importing recipe images selected by you.

e. AI Processing (If Applicable)

If you choose to use AI-powered features (such as recipe extraction or formatting), recipe content may be securely transmitted to a third-party AI service for processing. No personal identifying information is intentionally collected.

  1. Data StorageAll saved recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists are stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your recipes, cocktails, and associated photos are automatically synced to our secure cloud servers hosted by Supabase. Cloud data is associated with your account and is accessible only to you.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

  1. Cloud Sync and Backup

    Cloud backup is available to all users who create an account, regardless of subscription status. Your data is synced automatically when changes are made and can also be manually synced or restored through the App's settings. You may stop cloud syncing at any time by signing out of your account.

  2. Analytics

    MealGod does not use third-party analytics services to track personal user behavior. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

  3. Third-Party Services

    MealGod may connect to external services for recipe extraction, AI processing, or cloud data storage. These services operate under their own privacy policies. Our cloud infrastructure is provided by Supabase, which stores your data securely using industry-standard encryption.

  4. Children's Privacy

    MealGod is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  5. Data Security

    We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission and secure cloud storage with row-level access controls. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
